Castle is set for Crafty Vintage Take Over!

24 April 2017

The May Day bank holiday weekend will see the historic castle in Lancaster transformed into a vibrant and fun festival for all of the family.

Crafty Vintage have been given the keys to the magnificent venue to hold a three day event, with the gates opening at 11am each day.

There will be magic shows throughout the weekend with circus performers, streetfood stalls from around the globe, cocktails, craft beers and live music!

In addition, a coalition of cool creatives, collectors and makers will be showcasing their wares in the courtyards alongside classic, vintage and quirky items.

On the green a vintage VW campervan will provide the backdrop for the region's best up and coming singer songwriters including Terri Bertwistle, Laura Mary and Chris Hinnigan.

On both Saturday and Sunday, the party continues into the evening with DJ’s on vinly spinning a mixture of funk, soul and nu-disco beats.

Founder Dan Johnson said; “We’re really pleased to be coming to Lancaster and staging this event here. The support received so far has been extremely positive and tickets have been flying out”
