Bowland continues to inspire and a refreshed vision to protect, enhance and celebrate this unique place is being developed.

Consultation on the draft 2026–2031 Forest of Bowland National Landscape Management Plan opened in January and people who live, work or spend time in Bowland are being encouraged to have their say.

The plan sets out what makes the Forest of Bowland so special, the challenges it faces and the actions needed to conserve its components of natural beauty and special qualities.

There is still time to share your views on the draft plan, with the consultation period open until Monday 2nd March 2026.
