14 July 2025

The July/August issue of Lancashire Business View magazine is now online.

Our eagerly-anticipated Hot 100 list shines the spotlight on the country’s most profitable small and medium enterprises.

The list, which was compiled by PM&M accountants, showcases the performance of SMEs and their contributions to the Lancashire economy.

Richard Slater, chairman of Lancashire Business View, said: “Our Hot 100 research acts as a health check for the Lancashire economy and throws up some interesting trends.

“The resurgence of the food sector is a positive sign given the challenges it has gone through.

“We love to see the resilience shown by SMEs as they deliver for communities and the county and hope it can inspire other businesses to follow in their footsteps and grow.”

The magazine features The Big Interview with Matthew Riley from Daisy who sealed a headline-making merger deal with Virgin Media 02.

Family businesses are at the heart of Lancashire’s economy and our readers nominated their inspirational firms across in the county.

With the help of an expert panel of judges, we have produced a shortlist of 25 firms who deserve to be recognised for their work and achievements in Issue 123.

Burnley was the latest destination on our Hotspots tour and we talked to business, education and local government leaders about the issues facing them in the town.

In our Aerospace and Defence feature, experts and Lancashire businesses examined the opportunities and challenges in Lancashire’s supply chain.

There is a special report on the Net Zero Carbon Conference at Crow Wood Hotel and Spa in June.

Speakers at the event told delegates about the role Lancashire businesses play in the government’s green ambitions.

The magazine also has an interview with new Reform UK county council leader Stephen Atkinson and his party’s national leader Nigel Farage, who visited County Hall, as we looked to determine what the changes will mean for business.

Join us for the magazine launch at Burnley College University Courses Building, Burnley BB12 OAN on July 16 between 8.30-10.30am. You can book your tickets here.
