Shopping Centre has planned a sled full of festive activity to coincide with its Mission Christmas campaign

November and December will see five Festive Thursdays guaranteed to bring festive cheer to the Fylde Coast thanks to the Outlet Centre’s programme of free family entertainment.

Shoppers will be treated to exciting entertainment, complimentary warm festive drinks and exclusive discounts every week.  The events kick off with the official Tree Switch On night with Jordan North from Rock FM on Thursday 19th November.

Plus Freeport Fleetwood is inviting customers to spread the festive spirit this Christmas by donating gifts to Rock FM's Mission Christmas campaign. The initiative is targeted at disadvantaged children across the region, aims to ensure no child wakes up on Christmas morning without a present.

The appeal aims to put a smile on the faces of thousands of children this Christmas morning and give donors a warm, fuzzy, festive feeling to boot. From the 16th November shoppers will be able to drop new and unused gifts into any of the designated Mission Christmas stations across the centre*. Alternatively they can also donate cash into one of the many Cash For Kids collection boxes.

On track to welcome thousands of eager shoppers through its doors this season, Centre Manager John Magee thinks the launch of Festive Thursdays, combined with the Mission Christmas activity, will mean the atmosphere at Freeport Fleetwood will be particularly high-spirited:

“We’re so pleased to be partnering with Rock FM on the Mission Christmas  campaign. By picking up an extra gift at the till point, our shoppers will be doing their bit to spread some cheer to those who need it the most. As a thank you to all those donating we came up with the idea of Festive Thursdays. Each week you’ll find a specially curated, discount-packed shopping evening; focussing on party-wear, homeware and gifts for him, her or the kids. And to keep your tastebuds happy as well as your wallet, there’ll also be free hot chocolate and mulled wine from 4pm.”

Nikki Thompson, Charity Manager Cash for Kids says: “It’s clear that Freeport Fleetwood really gets into the festive spirit and is a great local Christmas shopping destination; it just seemed like the perfect fit for Mission Christmas. We want to make this year’s campaign the best one ever so are urging everyone to pop down to Freeport to donate a gift. Christmas is a magical time of year and that should be the case for all children. Picking up an extra stocking filler when you’re doing your shopping takes little effort but can make a world of difference to the disadvantaged youths in our community on Christmas morning.”
