Last few spaces available for Race Across Lancashire

22 July 2026

If you’re feeling inspired to challenge yourself, this year’s Race Across Lancashire is approaching and there are limited spaces left to get involved.

Inspired by the BBC’s Race Across the World, this two-day adventure will see teams compete to reach the finish line armed with nothing but paper maps, sheer determination, and the generosity of those encountered along the way.

Taking place on the 5th & 6th of September, the journey will span over 200 miles across the county. Checkpoints along the way will reveal new obstacles for teams to overcome and provide clues to find the next destination.

The challenge is a chance to explore Lancashire’s beautiful scenery, showcase your determination, and test the problem-solving skills of you and your chosen teammate – all while raising vital funds to support women in the area.

Lancashire Women is a charity built to empower women, and Race Across Lancashire will raise vital funds to enable the service to continue providing life-changing support to women in the county.

Siobhan Collingwood, CEO of Lancashire Women, said: “We are thrilled to see so many people embracing the spirit of adventure and community through Race Across Lancashire. This event is about more than just the challenge, it’s about coming together to support women across our county who need us most. I can’t wait to welcome all the teams and see the incredible energy they bring.”

Alongside supporting this essential service, you’ll get to experience Lancashire’s exceptional warmth and generosity. Last year’s event saw bystanders rallying together to get teams moving in the right direction, and was a real testament to the county’s community spirit.

Belinda Chambers, a participant from last year’s Race Across Lancashire, said: “It was a truly fantastic experience – inspiring people, brilliant organisation, and never a dull moment. The support from the charity made fundraising far easier than expected, and the sense of the unknown made it truly magical. I’d highly recommend it to anyone – just do it!”

Day one will wrap up with a celebratory meal and an overnight hotel stay to refuel and get ready for the second leg of the challenge, which will culminate in the winning team being presented with their trophy and prizes.

Team spaces are filling up, and with limited spots available, it’s time to get registered if you want to take part. For more information and to grab your place, visit: lancashirewomen.org/race-across-lancashire
