After nearly 3 months closed to the general public, family owned and north-west based Lavender Hotel Group is preparing to open its doors once again.

The Oaks Hotel, Burnley

Like all UK hotel operators Lavender Hotels have been closed to the public since lockdown first began on the 24th March. However, as the governments recent easing of further social distancing measures, the group can now focus on welcoming patrons back through the door in July.

The Lavender group operates 4 Best Western hotels in rural locations across the northwest and have planned a phased opening approach which will see the hotels opening in July and August.

“To say it’s been a rough 3 months would be an understatement!” says group owner, Sarah Sikorski “The hospitality industry above all other has been the worst hit, we were one of the first to close and will be one of the last allowed to resume operations. Although we have had some assistance from the government and even with low daily operational running costs while closed, the overheads of running a hotel are immense.”

As the UK economy begins to recover, the group foresee a downturn in staying business guests and the primary focus will be on the leisure guest wanting a well deserved break after lockdown.

“It’s our belief that with everything that’s gone on and although people will be desperate to get away, they will only feel comfortable under certain conditions.” She continues, “Firstly I don’t think people will be heading to crowded city centres, they will want cleaning/hygiene procedure reassurance and perhaps looking for a good deal.”

Best Western Higher Trapp Country House Hotel

“We are extremely lucky that our hotels are located in the countryside with an abundance of outdoor activities to enjoy whole still being able to observe social distancing. We have also put in place a very robust hygiene and social distancing policy so staying guests can be reassure they will be safe staying at any Lavender Hotel. Lastly we are running our very popular All-inclusive package which offers incredible value for money.” She added “We’ve really missed our customers and can’t wait to see them again!”

The All-inclusive package includes an overnight stay, dinner, drinks (from 6pm – 11pm) and breakfast. Prices start from £138 for two people and bookings for all hotels can now be made online at bookings.lavenderhotels.co.uk or via the central reservation team 0845 2411531.
