16 May 2016

On Wednesday 13th April 2016, Leighton Hall was chosen as the venue for an exciting photoshoot for the brand new Leatherman Tread wearable multi-tool. The tool group is based in the United States and the photoshoot was organised by their UK Distributor Whitby & Co, who are based in Kendal.

Their brief was to use more UK focussed images in their marketing materials and Leighton Hall provided a quintessential English setting for the different themes the company were looking to portray.

With the addition of some very special classic and modern day sports cars, the scene was set. The final piece of the jigsaw was the model, James Wright (from Giggleswick School) who kindly accepted the invitation to be involved. With no previous experience but in the safe hands of Kendal based, Ian Wood Photography, the results really exceeded the company’s expectations.

Whitby’s Sales & Marketing Director, Garry Woodhouse, said: “To be able to use a fantastic venue right on our doorstep and local home grown talent in Ian and James made the outcome that extra bit special. The images captured portray a very relaxed but classy feel and very British. The photos will now be used in upcoming publications will be seen via online adverts and social media”.

Lucy Arthurs from Leighton Hall commented: “We always enjoy hosting product launches here at Leighton Hall and it was a real treat to have been asked to be part of the Leatherman Tread photo shoot. It’s always exciting to work with a world renowned brand and we felt that Leighton’s setting, along with the classic cars, made a perfect backdrop for this superb new product”.
