Old Cars and New Toys make Leighton Hall’s Show a Family Event.

If you’ve never been to Leighton Hall before then make sure the 5th July is the day you choose to visit. Added to all the regular attractions Leighton Hall offers, over 400 motoring enthusiasts will be putting on their driving gloves, dusting off their bonnets and making their way along the M6 for the 16th Lakeland Classic Car and Bike Show.

Owners of classic MGs, Triumph Stags, Austin Seven’s and Land Rovers and more, will be proudly presenting their treasured automobiles for families and enthusiasts to enjoy.  This year, the Jaguar Drivers Club are attending with over 45 gorgeous Jaguars on display. For visitor’s there’s chance to speak to the exhibitors, pick up a rare or discontinued part, bag a bargain or just enjoy browsing the vintage vehicles.

Alongside the classic cars, the event showcases over 400 displays of classic motorcycles, commercials, 4x4s and ex-military vehicles. Highlights of the show will include an arena with commentary, auto jumble, trade stands and lots of club displays.

Leighton Hall is the lived in family home of the Gillow furniture making family and during the classic car event, for a small extra charge, visitors are invited to take a guided tour of the house. Famous for its’ Objets d’art and stunning pieces of priceless furniture, the house has no roped off areas. There’s also time to enjoy the gardens, grounds and charming tearooms.

This family day out has plenty for children too, as new for 2015 is the extended and upgraded childrens play area, which complements the garden dens, caterpillar maze, tree face trail and the wonderful Woodland Walk.

The Leighton Hall Classic Car and Bike Show takes place at Leighton Hall, Carnforth, on 5th July 2015 between 10am – 4pm. Admission is £6.50 for adults and £3 for children. There is a small additional charge to enter the Hall.

Leighton Hall is just 10 mins drive from junction 35 on the M6
