Pleasure Beach Resort wins eight at UK Theme Park Awards

Blackpool’s Pleasure Beach Resort saw out its summer season with success, taking home eight awards at the UK Theme Park Awards – including wins for its newly introduced rides and shows.
Among the results, the park won gold in the ‘Best Seaside Park’ category, and its newly introduced ice show Alice Frozen in a Wonderland of Dreams being crowned top of the ‘Best New Entertainment’ category.
The newest addition to the park’s line- up of rides, Aviktas, also saw success. The record-breaking ride grabbed a silver award for ‘Best New Attraction’, as well as ‘Best Marketing Campaign’.
Other award wins include winning silver for ‘Best Value Theme Park’ and bronze for ‘Best Halloween Event’, ‘Best Theme Park for Thrills’ and ‘Best Value Theme Park’.
Amanda Thompson OBE, CEO of Pleasure Beach Resort said: “All of us at Pleasure Beach are absolutely thrilled to be taking home eight awards. It sets a brilliant standard for us, one that we’ll be working incredibly hard over the next year to build on the success.
“Winning awards is always a wonderful feeling, but to receive recognition for our newest show Alice Frozen in a Wonderland of Dreams, and ride, Aviktas, especially means a lot. It’s a testament to the value they have added to the park and to all the hard work that goes on behind the scenes to bring them to life.”
For the first time, the ceremony was held at Pleasure Beach Resort, marking the seventh iteration of the UK Theme Park Awards.
This year’s awards were organised by ThemeParks-UK.com, an independent consumer guide to UK theme parks, and presented in association with AttractionTickets.com and TAG Live.
The winners of each category were decided by a combination of votes from the British Public, as well as a panel of 10 judges made up of some of the most respected experts within the theme park industry.
Thompson added: “Hosting the 2026 awards has been a great privilege, we’re thrilled to have the opportunity to showcase everything that makes Pleasure Beach so special and honour much of the talent within the industry.”
The awards adds another layer to what has been a landmark year for Pleasure Beach Resort, as it celebrates its 130th year – with the park now setting it sights on its Autumn and Winter events, including Oktober Fest from September 19th-26th, Journey to Hell starting October 17th, Christmas Grotto and Aladdin: The Pantomime, both from from November 21st to December 24th.
Pleasure Beach Resort remains open for the majority of September and October, excluding some Mondays and Tuesdays outside of school holidays. Throughout November, the park will be open at weekends, while events run until Christmas Eve.
