After a two-year absence from Lancaster’s Williamson Park, The Dukes is delighted to entertain audiences outdoors once again.

Grimm Tales: Witches, Wolves, Fairies and Frogs is a fun and fresh adaptation of the famous Brothers Grimm fairy tales told as the audience follow the actors, initially disguised as park rangers, from one location to another in spectacular surroundings.

This outdoor show is guaranteed to sprinkle some much needed magic over Lancaster this summer following in a Dukes tradition of promenade theatre which goes back to 1987, attracting more than half a million people.

The cast includes Heysham’s Helen Longworth who is making her Dukes park show debut after appearing in four of the theatre’s Christmas shows.

Grimm Tales: Witches, Wolves, Fairies and Frogs is directed by Sarah Punshon who also directed The Dukes outdoor production of The Three Musketeers in 2018. It is sponsored by ICS Accounting.

The play in the park runs Tuesdays-Sundays until August 22 and tickets are selling fast, especially for weekend performances, with eight nights sold out.

Tickets are priced £20 and must be booked in advance. Social distancing measures will be in place, limiting audience numbers to 300 per show. For more information and to book, visit www.dukeslancaster.org or ring The Dukes Box Office on 01524 598500.
