Partington’s brought the sunshine this November and raised £20k for Brian House!

It was all yellow at Partington’s Holiday Parks last month as the leading local company hosted its annual ‘Yellow Night’ to raise vital funds for Brian House Children’s Hospice.
The popular Partington’s fundraising event took place across the Lancashire-based company’s Broadwater, Newton Hall and Windy Harbour Holiday Parks on Saturday 8th November and raised an incredible £20,253 for the charity hospice in Blackpool, which provides vital care for children with life-limiting illnesses and their families.
Each November, Partington’s Holiday Parks across the local area light up in a sea of sunshine on Yellow Night as generous guests, holiday home-owners and team members all come together for a fabulous fun evening of live music, dancing and a huge raffle – with top prizes including free site fees for some lucky holiday home-owners. There’s always lots of bright yellow outfits to bring a glorious sunny glow to the winter evening, with even a few cheeky bananas joining the fun! Representatives from Brian House Children’s Hospice also join the event each year to share heartfelt stories about the huge impact the funds raised on the night will make to the charity.
A Brian House spokesperson explained: “£20,253 is enough to pay for more than four full days of care at the Children’s Hospice. Those four days are full of fun for up to 16 children, who may be enjoying a visit from Jo Jingles and our friends at Aiming Higher bringing music, fun and laughter, while we are meeting complex care needs and creating special moments for the brave children we are caring for. During the night our specialist nurses are giving medicine, preparing special food mixes and turning our children – whatever they need to be safe and comfortable across the full 24 hours. We could also be taking our wonderful children or their siblings for a fun day out around Blackpool. We just love a trip to the Zoo, whooshing down the slides at Sandcastle Waterpark or a trip to Blackpool Circus, a game of bowling or a night out at the movies. All these cherished moments simply wouldn’t be possible without the incredible people at Partington’s Holiday Parks and their residents who gave so generously at this year’s Yellow Night. Thank you so much.”

Partington’s is a family-owned business that operates holiday parks across Lancashire, the Lake District and the Yorkshire Dales, offering family-focused breaks filled with fun and unforgettable memories, and which has been committed to supporting the Fylde coast’s only children’s hospice for many years.
This year’s magnificent milestone brings Partington’s total fundraising for the local hospice to an outstanding £245,398 since the partnership first began. Partington’s were also the very first official sculpture sponsor for Elmer’s Big Parade Blackpool in 2024 – a captivating art trail organised by Brian House and Wild in Art that saw a herd of 30 colourful Elmer elephant sculptures appear across the resort to raise awareness for the hospice, each one uniquely designed by a local artist and sponsored by a local business.

Partington’s Chief Executive Officer, Rob Kearsley, said of this year’s fundraising evening: “Yellow Night is one of our proudest traditions and every year our owners and guests amaze us with their generosity. Seeing our parks come alive in bright yellow in support of such an important local charity is truly heartwarming. We’re incredibly grateful to everyone who bought a raffle ticket, dressed up, donated or simply came along to show their support. Brian House does exceptional, life-changing work and we’re honoured to stand alongside them once again this year.”
Fellow CEO, Andrea Challis, added: “We feel privileged to play a part in supporting the wonderful care Brian House Children’s Hospice provide and being the first sculpture sponsor for the Elmer art trail was a real highlight for Partington’s. Our beloved Elmer elephant now has a permanent home at Walterz Entertainment Centre at Newton Hall Holiday Park, where guests can continue to enjoy it. We want to thank everyone who supported our Yellow Night this year. Your kindness truly makes a huge difference.”
