Pleasure Beach Resort to host renowned Broadway-style training programme in a UK first

3 June 2026

A prestigious Broadway training organisation has teamed up with Blackpool’s Pleasure Beach Resort to bring professional-level Broadway training to ambitious performers, who otherwise may not have access to such opportunities.

Broadway Dreams has announced its first ever UK performing arts training programme, taking place at Pleasure Beach Resort in partnership with BBEXP this summer (Beyond Broadway Experience).

Broadway Dreams offers the opportunity for aspiring performers to train directly with top Broadway and West End professionals delivering masterclasses in acting, dance and vocal performances – to name a few.

The expansion to Blackpool aims to broaden access to elite-level training and create clear pathways for theatre hopefuls who might not be able to afford the expense of London-based programmes.

This initiative will take place from August 23-28 2026, with 12 Broadway level performers attending Pleasure Beach Resort to offer professional training and industry insight.

The stars delivering this Broadway-level training include names such as: Greg Haney of Hamilton, acclaimed casting director Rachel Hoffman and Nick Adams, star of Priscilla, Queen of the Desert.

They are joined by expert Pleasure Beach talent: Alexa Robinson (Love Never Dies, Aladdin), Ian Oswald (Burlesque, Wicked movie) and multi-talented actor, dancer and model Tuesday Bridgman.

Amanda Thompson OBE, CEO of Pleasure Beach Resort said: “Bringing Broadway Dreams to Blackpool is a wonderful opportunity to continue the growth of performing arts beyond the capital. We’re thrilled to nurture the next generation of theatre stars in our region.

“It’s a real privilege to host this unique opportunity at Pleasure Beach Resort.”

Celebrating its 20th anniversary, the non-profit organisation Broadway Dreams has supported more than 30,000 aspiring artists across more than 8 countries. Noticeable alumni include Renne Rapp, who went on to star in Mean Girls the Musical on Broadway and the big screen.

Annette Tanner, founder and president of Broadway Dreams said: “This UK Intensive is a must because it gives the chance to work directly with top Broadway decision makers.

“When Dreamers train with us, they’re not just learning technique, they’re building relationships and being seen in a way that can change everything. With Broadway Dreams alumni currently performing in 22 of the 29 shows on Broadway, our track record truly speaks for itself.”

The week long intensive is open to performers aged eight and above with tuition priced at £329.44

Discounted accommodation at Pleasure Beach Resort will also be available for participants travelling from outside of the area.
