The Blackpool Tower Dungeon is assembling an exceptional cast of theatrical performers to bring to life the scariest – and funniest – journey through Blackpool’s murky history.

Successful candidates will be required to transport guests back in time and immerse them in tales of terror, humour, and twisted local legends. Taking on a variety of larger-than-life characters, one day they could embody a Plague Doctor’s Assistant, and the next the intimidating Judge Blackheart.

Jamie Humphrey, Performance Manager at Blackpool Tower Dungeon, said: “This must be one of the most unusual and terrifying jobs in Blackpool!

“The successful candidates will have the chance to combine scares with laughs for entertainment.

“We are looking for performers with the ability to maintain sinister eye contact for unnervingly long periods of time and a strong Lancashire or Northern accent.

“It is a fantastic opportunity to work in a world-class attraction providing an unforgettable experience for guests.”

The Blackpool Tower Dungeon is an immersive, walk-through attraction inside the Blackpool Tower, offering a 60-minute live-action experience through 1,000 years of Lancashire’s dark history, filled with theatrical actors, scary scenes, special effects, and a thrilling drop ride.
