Blackpool Pleasure Beach is on the look out for new members of its Junior Board!

1 September 2015

Due to a number of youngsters retiring from the board, Blackpool Pleasure Beach is once again on the look out for enthusiastic 12 to 15 year olds from around the country who have a keen eye for fun and want to have influence on how Blackpool Pleasure Beach makes future decisions.

Blackpool Pleasure Beach’s Junior Board was set up by park bosses in 1995 to give feedback on the attraction’s latest developments while helping to plan future rides, shows and a whole host of entertainment.

Over the past 12 months the current Junior Board have been involved in a number of projects including behind-the-scenes tours of the park, input into various areas of the park such as Nickelodeon Land and the new Red Arrows Skyforce ride, including merchandise ideas.  The Junior Board are also invited to the VIP opening night of Hot Ice and other events which take place at Blackpool Pleasure Beach.

The Board meets three times a year during school holidays and spends the whole day at the attraction where they are set assignments to carry out, given samples of food and merchandise to try out and provide reviews and listen to presentations from guest speakers.
For your chance to apply to the 2015/16 Junior Board and beyond, visit for online registration. One of our previous board members has recorded a short video explaining what you need to do.

Blackpool Pleasure Beach Managing Director, Amanda Thompson OBE, said: “The Junior Board offer a fresh insight into how Blackpool Pleasure Beach operates. To see the park through a younger set of eyes often helps in the decisions that are made at senior board level.
“They have access to all our rides and attractions, our hotel and our restaurants and are involved in real boardroom discussions, finding out how to make the park even more fun for our guests. It’s lots of fun to be a member and looks great on your CV.”
