Brockholes Hosts First Eco-Chic Wedding Fayre

27 April 2018

Brockholes nature reserve is set to host its first ever Eco-Chic Wedding Fayre with wedding planners Little White Books. Taking place on Sunday 29th April from 12pm – 3pm, the Fayre will showcase the very best local wedding suppliers; each with a quirky twist.
Set up to welcome visitors in Brockholes’ unique floating Visitor Village, each supplier offers sustainable, environmentally-friendly or just beautifully eclectic wedding services to brides and grooms-to-be.

Gillian Rabbett, Brockholes Wedding Co-ordinator, says:
“As Brockholes is part of the Wildlife Trust, we are thrilled to be hosting an eco-friendly wedding fayre. Many of our brides are nature enthusiasts, and we are confident that many of our visitors and supporters who share our values will come along to meet alternative suppliers that they might not see at other events.”

30 suppliers will be on-hand to discuss ideas and inspiration with happy couples, including:

Grönn
An ethical and holistic hair salon promoting luxurious and sustainable hairdressing. Grönn is plastic-free, plant-based and PETA-certified cruelty-free, and offers both creative and classic hairdressing for all kinds of bride.

Brockholes – Lancashire’s only floating, eco-friendly wedding venue
Brockholes is the perfect wedding venue for couples who like to do things differently. Set in the heart of a Lancashire Wildlife Trust nature reserve, the eco-friendly venue floats on the lake amongst the reeds, surrounded by wildlife.

Pre-registered Wedding Fayre guest Jenny is busy planning her wedding in September this year: “As a vegan and nature lover I’m really looking forward to meeting cruelty-free hair and makeup suppliers at the Eco-Chic Wedding Fayre. I’ve not been to one like this before and it’s fantastic that an event like this is here on our doorstep in Lancashire, and in such a stunning setting.”

Designed using sustainable materials, the rooms at Brockholes blend in with the landscape and allow you to express your own style, to create a wedding theme that suits you and your partner to a tee. Brockholes even has its own Wedding Co-ordinator who can help you create a bespoke ceremony and reception that is truly tailored to your tastes.

From canapes and drinks on the hilltop overlooking the lake, to an evening barbecue around the apple trees on the floating Visitor Village, weddings at Brockholes are unforgettable. What’s more, by choosing the reserve as the setting for your big day, you are supporting vital conservation work to help protect local wildlife.
