Burnley’s Woodland Spa wins World Luxury Spa Awards
The Woodland Spa in Burnley has once again, for the fourth consecutive year, received international acclaim after winning the Global Luxury Day Spa at the 2018 World Luxury Spa & Restaurant Awards.
And for the second consecutive year the spa restaurant Bertram’s, part of Crow Wood leisure, has also received international recognition, winning the Best Luxury Brasserie.
The lavish award ceremony took place on the red carpet at the magnificent 5-star Galgorm Resort & Spa in Ballymena, Northern Ireland where The Woodland Spa and Bertram’s restaurant succeeded in seeing off competition from more than 1000 entrants from 42 countries around the globe.
The World Luxury Spa & Restaurant Awards is a truly unique event that recognises and celebrates exceptional service in the luxury wellness and fine dining industry.

Since the £4.5 million investment in Bertram’s & The Woodland Spa in 2013, Crow Wood has doubled its number of staff to over 200, the business serves over 7,000 covers per month.
With the expansion of the all-weather terrace in 2016 the spa now also offers a stunning Terrace bar, firepit lounge, 2 large hot tubs. Fully heated in the winter with a retractable roof for summer, the Terrace Bar offers a full cocktail and tapas menu giving our guests an informal alternative to Bertram’s restaurant.
