Carnforth Station Heritage Centre Finalist in the UK Coach Awards

27 March 2017

The UK Coach Awards have announced the list of finalists for their 2017 competition, praising the high standards and hard work demonstrated by all the people, projects and organisations that have made the final stages.

The list comprises a total of 58 nominations – covering people, projects or organisations. They cross 14 categories covering the whole range of activities involved in the planning, promotion and operation of coach services. The winners will be announced at the prestigious Annual Presentation Ceremony on 4 May in Manchester

In the UK Coach Awards, there is a special category called ‘Making Coaches a Better Choice’. This is designed to recognise and reward projects, big or small, which genuinely improve life for coach operators, coach drivers and their passengers. Carnforth Station Heritage Centre has been shortlisted in this category.

UK Coach Awards Chairman, Allan Edmondson said, “We're very keen on this category: it is a vital aspect of our work to highlight excellence and good practice. As with all forms of passenger transport, we in the coach industry rely on others to help make the journeys we provide for customers as comfortable, efficient and prompt as possible.”
