Lancashire distillery’s Superstar Supernova shines at San Francisco Awards

12 April 2022

Cuckoo Supernova Gin landed Double Gold at the San Francisco Spirits Competition 2022, sending the competition back down to earth, as it picked up the highest accolade in the flavoured gin category.

Exploding with fresh grapefruit, Supernova adds to its top-level achievement of ‘Master Gin,’ awarded by the Spirits Business Awards in 2021, the same year it was launched.

Big hits of grapefruit is just one of the reasons Cuckoo Supernova Gin has been such a big hit with the gin experts and connoisseurs who make up the judging panels. However, top-class taste aside, Supernova stands out for another impressive reason. Unlike the majority of competitors that make up the flavoured gin class, Supernova’s explosive fresh grapefruit flavour is attained without the use of artificial flavouring or sugars.

An achievement in itself, gin lovers looking for big flavour from all natural ingredients are on to a winner with Cuckoo Supernova Gin, as Brindle Distillery Director and Master Distiller, Mark Long explains,

“Our dedication to our craft and commitment to only using natural ingredients in our spirits has allowed us to create a delicious gin with strong, natural flavour. It’s something we’re very proud of and we are delighted our hard work has been recognised at the highest level.”

A supernova in its natural form is a ‘powerful and luminous stellar explosion’, the perfect name for Brindle Distillery’s latest, and possibly greatest, creation which is clearly sending shockwaves of natural flavour throughout the flavoured gin category and beyond…

With the prestigious awards for Supernova under their belts, Brindle Distillery hope to build on this success by establishing Cuckoo Supernova Gin nationwide, while continuing their growth internationally.

Cuckoo Supernova Gin and the entire Cuckoo Gin range can be purchased from Brindle Distillery’s online shop at brindledistillery.co.uk or direct from the distillery in Brindle, Near Chorley.
