Last chance to snap up Switch-On weekend tickets
The countdown is on to the big night – it’s your last chance to snap up wristbands for the Blackpool Illuminations Switch-On Festival Weekend.
With just a week to go until the big weekend starring Peter Kay, Little Mix, Texas, Pixie Lott, Rebecca Ferguson, Atomic Kitten and many, many more, the Switch-On arena will soon starts its transformation to create a fantastic venue for what promises to be a weekend of world-class entertainment.
And there are still a limited number of wristbands available for the big Friday night Switch-On for those who snap up a full weekend ticket now.
But be quick, there’s a chance they could run out!
Throughout the remaining week, promotional events and competitions will be running too.

The Switch-On concert on Friday night is headlined by superstar girl band Little Mix with support from Texas, Pixie Lott, Union J, George Ezra and more.
Britain’s most popular comedian, Peter Kay, will then flick the switch at around 9.15pm.
On Saturday night, direct from London’s West End, Thriller Live, Dirty Dancing – The Classic Show on Stage, Chicago, Priscilla Queen of the Desert, Leanne Jones and Jon Lee from S Club 7 fame and friends performing songs from The Jersey Boys form a truly top class line-up.
Sunday’s show, meanwhile, is headlined by Rebecca Ferguson with top nineties acts including Atomic Kitten, Liberty X, 911 and Damage also taking part.
Friday night’s show is compered by Rock FM breakfast show duo, Hywel and Jamie, while both the Saturday and Sunday shows will be hosted by Rock FM’s Danny Bee.
In addition to the three shows there will also be a food and drink festival on the Promenade for visitors to enjoy.
The Switch-On Food & Drink Festival, located either side of Central Pier, will feature a variety of entertainment in the company of artisan producers, pop-up restaurants, premium brands, international street food, master mixologists and top local chefs.
Some of the UK’s most exciting street food vendors will be serving up a wide variety of tasty delicacies from around the world and artisan producers, kitchen ware & crafters will be selling local speciality produce for you to take home.
Cllr Graham Cain, Blackpool Council’s cabinet member for tourism and leisure, said: “Our Switch-On Festival Weekend line-up is now complete and it’s packed with household names that everyone knows.
“We’re looking forward to a tremendous weekend and I hope everyone across the Fylde Coast, the North West and beyond will get behind it and make this year’s show one of the best ever.
“While we can put together a great line-up and make the lights shine, we need Blackpool and its residents and visitors to make the occasion by helping to create a brilliant atmosphere.
“There are still tickets available for Switch-On Weekend and you may even be lucky enough to get a Friday night ticket if you’re quick enough.
“I would urge people to snap them up now!”

Tickets can be purchased from a variety of places including the box office on the Promenade which will continue to sell tickets until right before the Saturday and Sunday performances.
