Eden Project’s Bring Me Sunshine Garden Launches at RHS Chelsea Flower Show 2026

18 May 2026

The Eden Project officially unveiled its RHS Chelsea Flower Show 2026 garden today with broadcaster Angela Rippon joining Morecambe and Wise homage act in a joyful moment celebrating the spirit and regeneration of Morecambe.

The Eden Project Bring Me Sunshine Garden marks Eden’s 25th anniversary year and offers the first glimpse of Eden Project Morecambe, set to open in 2028.

Inspired by the dramatic coastal landscapes and communities of Morecambe Bay, the garden has been designed by multi-award-winning garden designer Harry Holding and architect Alex Michaelis and co-created with young adults from Morecambe.

The garden celebrates hope, creativity and opportunity, combining sustainable planting with innovative materials including mussel shell boundary panels and terraces crafted from cockle shell by-products.

At its centre sits a striking solar-powered shell-shaped canopy beneath which young people will learn horticulture, foraging, crafts and digital skills.

Following RHS Chelsea Flower Show, the garden will move permanently to Morecambe where it will become part of a free public community garden and outdoor learning space ahead of Eden Project Morecambe opening in 2028.

Angela Rippon said: “We aimed to bring the sunshine, and I think we achieved that! This stunning garden captures the warmth, humour and resilience of Morecambe. It’s uplifting, hopeful and full of imagination – and it represents a really exciting future for the town and its young people.

“To see Morecambe celebrated in this way is incredibly special, and I think visitors will really connect with the positivity and joy the garden brings.”

Andy Jasper, CEO of Eden Project, said: “The Eden Project Bring Me Sunshine Garden is a celebration of community, creativity and regeneration. We’re delighted to officially launch it today and share a first look at the future of Eden Project Morecambe.”

The Chelsea garden has been made possible thanks to match-funding from grant-making charity Project Giving Back.
