Registered charity Horses and Ponies Protection Association (HAPPA) is launching a business base within their modern and spacious café, nestled in the Thursden Valley, Burnley, Lancashire to give back to local business owners, community groups and homeworkers during times of increased costs.

HAPPA’s The Café at Shores Hey Farm has a large second floor that is a modern and comfortable space with two adjoining meeting rooms.  The breath-taking countryside that surrounds the café and the resident rescue horses offer a relaxing breakout space to all that enjoy the business base.

Andy Black, The Café and Kitchen Manager, is offering the second floor during term-time as a place to do business, network, hold meetings and complete a day’s work.

Andy says, ‘Every month we already welcome outside agencies to our meeting rooms, it’s great to connect with local businesses who want a space to host either a meeting or team get together. Teams love the fact that we are a charity as they are giving back to animal welfare when using our fantastic facilities. A chance to motivate employees and tap into corporate responsibility is a winner all-round.

It also helps that we offer breakfast, brunch, lunch, refreshments and of course heat and electricity.  We wanted to look at how we, as a charity, during times of hardship, can give back.  Offering our space as a place to work and do business was a no brainer. Let’s make the Charity’s Cafe the go to place to do business!’

The HAPPA Business Base, Shores Hey Farm, Blackhouse Lane, Briercliffe, Burnley, Lancashire, BB10 3QU, is available five days a week, Monday to Friday, 10am to 4pm, during term-time. Base users can enjoy free WIFI, laptop and phone charging points, small meeting rooms with a SMART board, toilet facilities, and delicious food and drink from The Café.
