Marketing Lancashire has an exciting opportunity for a Marketing Manager to join the team based in Leyland.  You will be here on a full time, fixed term basis of 9 months and you will be offered a competitive salary of up to £28,000 per year.

About Marketing Lancashire;
Marketing Lancashire is the Destination Management Organisation for the county. Our activities in marketing, communications and commercial membership are all designed to grow the visitor economy and promote the destination as a great place to visit, work and invest. Based in Leyland, the office is only minutes away from the main motorway links of the M6, M61 and M65. Leyland train station is also nearby with regular connections to major cities.
The Marketing Manager role;
This is a significant marketing role within Marketing Lancashire, offering an exciting opportunity for an experienced marketer to play a part in the destination marketing of Lancashire. The role of Marketing Manager not only requires experience of planning and delivering integrated campaigns and relevant knowledge of current digital marketing, but also strong copywriting, sales and publishing skills to manage the sales and production of our suite of publications. The ability to work flexibly as part of a small team, contribute to projects and achieve results is important.
Key responsibilities as our Marketing Manager;

–  Lead the marketing team to develop online and offline content for use across different media – including publications, marketing collateral and websites/social media
– Ensure all content is written in an engaging and accessible way for the relevant audience, and is consistent in terms of tone of voice, style and key messaging across all media
– Optimise online content to help improve search rankings and user engagement
– Help manage the content publishing schedule to ensure a steady flow of new and/or repurposed content is delivered across our main digital channels
– Working with the Marketing Co-Ordinator to sell and publish short break campaigns, including the planning, co-ordination and monitoring of activity
– Work with third party creative agencies and partners to deliver impactful marketing
– Working closely with colleagues and third party stakeholders to ensure the effective communication of the brand through off-line and digital promotion, and through copy, image and tone of voice
– Having a commercial approach to marketing planning and delivery
– Lead the digital team to develop online and social media capability, including digital campaign marketing.
